Title: Critical parts in solving constructive tasks by pupils-refugees from Ukraine Author: Bc. Anna Kukhtenko Supervisor: Mgr. Michal Zamboj, Ph.D. Abstract: Construction problems are considered to be one of the most difficult problems in mathematics education, as they are the connection of the space of geometric objects and relations (theoretical) with the space of pro-spatial graphical entities (representational). For pupil refugees from Ukraine, who have gone through the traumatic experience of emigration and adjusting to a new environment, these tasks may present additional specific challenges. The thesis analyses Czech and Ukrainian textbooks, examines differences in procedures and solution methods, individual experience and readiness of pupil-applicants going to Czech schools. The methodology is based on qualitative research, which includes working with a group of pupils from Ukraine with a worksheet and interviews with the pupils themselves to better evaluate the results. Based on these findings, appropriate pedagogical strategies and approaches can be further designed and refined to better support the success and adaptation of these pupils in the school environment. Keywords: Construction tasks, pupils-refugees, pupils with different mother language, critical places in mathematics.

Schrotterová, Michaela ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Syřiště, Ivo (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of the inclusion process at a primary school. In the first part of the thesis, we find the theoretical basis of the issue, i.e. what inclusive education is, what legislation is attached to it, and which steps are helping to make this process as successful as possible. A large part is then dedicated specifically to pupils with different native languages (abbreviated to pupils with DNL). The aim of this thesis is to find out how the admission of a pupil with DNL into a Czech school takes place, as well as to evaluate the methods and possibilities that the school has in hand during the entire process. In addition to these general assumptions, the aim is to analyze how classmates and the class teacher react to the admission of a foreign pupil. The results show that the process of admitting a pupil with DNL is going very well at the selected primary school. Pupils perceive a classmate from another country very positively, and in the same way, they predominantly approach the idea of integrating foreign pupils into Czech schools in general. The teacher is also very satisfied with the achievement and continuous improvement of this pupil. The pupil attains good results in her educational process, and she also has integrated very well into the class community, in which she...

Results of conducted qualitative interviews are presented. The collected data indicate insufficient training on the topic at universities and limited offer of additional courses, although the courses are perceived as beneficial by teachers. Extent of challenges faced by teachers is very individual. It depends mainly on the level of pupils' Czech language skills and also on how similar the pupils' native language is to Czech. Beside that, the offer of support for teachers is highly influenced by the particular school.
